Z3im
Z3im Donut is a conceptual public gallery inspired by the shape of a donut. The round building gives the building access to daylight from morning to evening. The building is divided into 3 floors: 1 terrace, the 2nd floor of the building is the original part of the building and the 3rd floor with closed and open terraces. In the eastern front there is a raised platform through which the gallery enters, and the shop windows in front meet the morning light and at the same time the light shows the direction of movement in the building, directing visitors to the left or right. Going to the left you will find an open space from which you can watch the panorama, and to the right - to the second floor, which has two separate terraces. One is on the west side, where you can watch the sunsets or protect yourself from the rain. From the large terrace you can watch the panorama from a 360-degree angle and enjoy the morning or western sun. The movement of the gallery takes place in a circle, accompanied by natural and artificial light. The Donut Gallery is perfect for panoramic views of nature or over water.
The challenge & problem
The goal of Donut gallery house is to create a gallery that would help visitors to travel inside the gallery with natural light, have closed and open spaces and at the same time enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view.
